Is it ethical for schools that offers Law Studies where Legal Ethics is being thought allows a copier machine for a fee in the library for books that can be borrowed?

I guess not.. but our law lib requires one to get a permission slip to photocopy a law book (for logging purposes). But I don't exactly know what they do with those stats they collect. Try buying older editions of the same book.. they're cheaper and just write down updates from the newer books..
