My Dad died six months ago, August 2010. My siblings and I have not filed an Estate Tax since then. We all live in New York and only had a short time in the Philippines to get all the funeral arrangements done. We never filed for extension either, and I just found out in the BIR website we can do all this through the embassy here. Is that right?
My other question is, are we too late to get that done?
My next question is, our mother is trying to sell the property without our consent. Doesnt she need a form signed by us as heirs of our father's share of the property before she signs a Contract of Sale to a buyer?
