Entry of judgment

Sec. 8. Entry of judgment. – After a judgment has become final, it shall be entered in accordance with Rule 36.
 

WHEN DOES A JUDGMENT BECOME FINAL? EXCEPT  IN  CASES  WHERE  DEATH  PENALTY  IS  IMPOSED,  JUDGMENT BECOMES FINAL:

1.    After the lapse of time for perfecting an appeal
2.    When the sentence has been partially or totally satisfied
3.    When  the  accused  has  expressly  waived  in  writing  his  right  to appeal
4.    When the accused has applied for probation

IS IT ABSOLUTE WHEN THE PERIOD OF APPEAL HAS ELAPSED, THE JUDGMENT HAS BECOME FINAL?

     No  
     At  instances  when  the  death  penalty  is  imposed,  there  is  an automatic review by the appellate court
