What is the right of a subsequent attaching creditor?

A subsequent attaching creditor acquired the properties in question subject to the creditor’s mortgage lien as it existed thereon at the time of the attachment. What may be attached in this case is only the equity or right of redemption of the mortgagor. (Allied Banking Corporation v. Salas, G.R. No. L-49091, Dec. 13, 1988)
